Larry
My name is Martha and I am currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland. I
have had my copy of The Bombshell Bible for some time now but had forgotten about
the chapter on physical fitness. I am an exceptionally active 23-year-old, but when
I moved here in January, all of my hard work fell away. I definitely didn't gain weight,
but I did lose some of the muscle and ALL of the cardiovascular fitness that I had
worked so hard to build up over the past few years. Fitness is something I take great
pride in and I was sorely disappointed when I couldn't find a suitable fitness facility
that wasn't going to cost me a thousand pounds.
It was about a month ago that I began running outside again -- the terrain
here is outstanding, and the scenery even better, but I still had work to do on the
lesser used muscles, and of course, my abs. Flipping through The Bombshell Bible one
day, I rediscovered the section of daily work outs that you prescribed and decided
to give them a shot.
At first I thought that using water bottles, of all things, was ridiculous
and that there was no way that it would work for me at all, but I was quickly proven
wrong. Although I am now feeling like much of my strength is coming back, I refuse
to up it to the 1L bottles. Using the 500mL ones force me to be much more aware of
my posture, form and to take the exercises at a gainful rate.
So, it looks like 3 minutes a day (plus my hour long run, I suppose) is all
it really takes.

Thanks again Larry for sending the super fitness ideas for my
upcoming trip. I will certainly follow them as I don't want to lose what I have gained.
I am not sure if I shared with you that for the last three weeks or so I have been
wearing my 34 inch pants which have hung in the cupboard for 2 or more years. Felt
great to accomplish a fitness goal!

The summer of 1995 was when I began working with Larry. It was
the summer before I entered my freshman season at Boston College. I felt that my small
size and build, I needed to work with a personal trainer to prepare me for the rigorous
NCAA hockey season. Over the course of a few months, Larry's influence got me to work
harder than I ever had before. His hands on approach to conditioning and dietary habits
helped me enter my freshman season in the best shape of my life. Specifically, through
Larry's program I got my body fat down to 11% when I had normally been in the 15-17%
range. That season I was honorable mention for hockey east All Rookie Team. I owed
much of that success to Larry. The training program that I began at Boston College
was extremely difficult and Larry's preparation made that transition as smooth as
it could possibly be.
